Christmas movie night at the Ranch
Wiregrass Ranch High School hosted a free after-school movie event to celebrate the upcoming winter break. The event was hosted on Friday, December 15 in the HHS commons.
“The main purpose of this event was to have something that students can do after school,” junior Catherine White stated.
Two favorite holiday movies were played. At 6pm they watched Polar Express and following at 8pm, Elf. Pizza and hot chocolate was also available for purchase. From concessions, the event raised $72 for Student Council.
“Although I wish we had a better outcome, this was still a great experience for both the students and for me. I hope in the near future, we think of another event like this,” Student Council sponsor Ms. Diepholz said.
The HHS commons turned into a Christmas wonderland with many decorations that the student body put together.
“I had a great time hosting this event. I feel that if we were to do something like this again it would be even better,” junior and Vice President of Student Council Lauryn Waldron stated.
Many students enjoyed the free event, including Sophomore Micaela Kruger.
“I’m really happy that I went to this. I had a great time hanging out with my friends, meeting new friends, and getting into the Christmas spirit!” Kruger said.
