Popular Christmas attraction ICE continues this year
Gaylord Palms Resort will be holding their annual ICE, from November 18th through January 1st. This year’s theme will feature “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
The indoor Winter Wonderland is a walk-through holiday attraction. There will be more than two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures that go along with the theme of Charlie Brown. The figures will include Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Snoopy’s decorated dog house, Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree, and much more. There will also be four slippery ice slides throughout the palace.
According to guests’ reviews, the most popular theme yet has been Shrek, which took place back in 2013. However, it can be predicted that the Charlie Brown edition will be equally, if not more, popular.
Snow tubing will also be an additional option. The Alpine Village at the ICE palace will include an eight-lane tubing hill, covered in snow. Double riding tubes are also available for parents with small children.
Alejandra Zuluaga, a Wiregrass Ranch High School (WRHS) senior, talks about the event.
“This is such a cute idea. I heard that previously there was Shrek themed ICE. I really love the Charlie Brown themed one though, so I definitely want to attend some time before Christmas,” Zuluaga said.
General admission prices may vary depending on the age of the guest. Adult tickets will cost $29.99, and children’s (ages four to twelve) tickets will cost $16.99. Any child below four years old will receive free admission, with the purchase of an adult ticket.
The combo ticket, which includes the snow tubing, will cost $47.99 for adults and $31.00 for children. For snow tubing only, tickets will be priced at $19.99 for all ages. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
The ICE Palace is kept at nine degrees fahrenheit, so be sure dress appropriately.
