The Shops at Wiregrass starts the holiday season with Symphony in Lights
The Shops at Wiregrass hosts “Symphony in Lights”, an annual light show with music by the “Trans-Siberian Orchestra”.
The Shops at Wiregrass annually hosts “Symphony in Lights”, from November 21st to December 31, which are lights choreographed to music by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It runs at the beginning of every hour, 5pm to 9pm.
The music played at this event is chose ahead of time by the community. Lights are choreographed to music by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Music includes “Christmas Canon Rock” and “Carol of the Bells Rock.” This year will have it’s usual 55 foot tree, in addition to 250,000 RGB LED lights, and a new sound system. It is being held in the center court of The Shops at Wiregrass.
Debbie Detweiler is the Marketing Director of The Shops at Wiregrass.
“It’s wonderful to see so many families join us and embrace this holiday tradition,” said Detweiler in her Press Release.
Many visitors stop by to watch the show each night. Joseph Engleman, a freshman at WRHS explains why he enjoyed the show.
“I liked the lights synchronized with the music. The tree looked fantastic, the colors were so vibrant, and the tree itself was very bright!” explains Engleman, “They were familiar songs. I immediately recognized Carol of the Bells. Trans-Siberian made a great rendition of it. I enjoyed it, even if it was my 2nd time.”
The show made good first impressions on a visitor, Aileen Zhen.
“It is a lot different than I imagined,” said Zhen, “I thought it was just going to be a performance, with a boring Christmas tree, but it turned out to be way more than that!”
When asked if they will be back for another time, both said yes.
“I come back every year. It’s become a tradition in my family,” says Engleman, “My family loves how the tree looks, and we see it change and improve every year.”
The Shops at Wiregrass is a big gathering place for everyone in the community.
“We are thrilled to provide the community with a gathering place to enjoy the holiday season. You won’t want to miss this magical show of light!” says Detweiler.
