Jingle Ball holiday tour comes to Tampa again
The 93.3 FLZ Jingle Ball holiday concert tour is coming to Tampa’s Amalie Arena once again on Saturday, December 17. This annual winter event is put on by iHeartMedia and rounds up high-selling pop artists.
This year’s lineup in Tampa includes Pitbull, The Chainsmokers, Fifth Harmony, Lukas Graham, Alessia Cara, Daya, DNCE, and Martin Garrix, though the list is not finalized and more artists could be added.
Jingle Ball profits in 2014 were about $14.9 million, but last year’s profits were only around $4 million.
Any dedicated pop fan would appreciate the lineup from any year, since top artists from the year perform. People who only like some of the artists but not others, make up a large majority of attendees, meaning if one appreciated artist did not come to one location, sales would plummet, as they have done.
Some websites have given warnings about counterfeit ticket sales, a problem that is common with high-selling events. Places like Craigslist have been the culprits of fake ticket sales. If you are considering going to this concert, check your source for scams before purchasing the expensive tickets.
Even though ticket sales have been decreasing in the last year, it is still one of the most anticipated concert events at Amalie Arena for the year.
According to 93.3 FLZ, program director John Mayer has high hopes for this year’s concert, as he does every year.
“We are excited to bring together the biggest names in pop music to celebrate another awesome year!” Mayer said.
To add to the excitement of the holiday season, this radio station donates $1.00 per ticket sold to the non-profit called the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. This organization benefits youth in areas of entertainment and education.
Holiday fun and hit music combine on the night of the Jingle Ball for every fan who attends. Even though the lineup calls for mixed emotions, any music fan would have an enjoyable time.
