The movie has very realistic, vibrant visuals.

Disney’s new Beauty and the Beast was released in theaters on March 17th. It is safe to say the film was a success at the box office, making over 25 million dollars so far. The majority of fans enjoyed the movie, but others claim that it didn’t live up to their expectations.

Rotten Tomatoes rated the movie 71%, which is not bad considering they are pretty critical with most movies.

Overall, the cast was outstanding. A few of the main characters include Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad, Audra McDonald, and most importantly, Emma Watson as Belle. The actors did outstanding at re-creating their iconic characters from the original Disney animated film.

Fans seemed to love the cast, the singing, and the vibrant visuals throughout the film.

It was based on the original movie, and did turn out to be pretty similar. Many viewers claimed the movie had positive messages for the audience. One of the most important themes was to “not judge a book by its cover.” Although the beast looked horrifying and unattractive, Belle still fell in love with him for who he was. She did not see him as a beast at all.

Brianna Jackson, a Wiregrass Ranch High School senior, shares her opinion on the movie.

“I personally loved it. I actually didn’t think it would be anything like the original but I was surprised to see how similar it was,” Jackson said.

Although the movie had a lot of good reviews, some die-hard Disney fans claim that it was good, but nothing compared the original.

Despite the fact that some did not fall in love with the film, all Disney fans are encouraged to give the movie a shot, as the majority say that it was an outstanding movie.
