It’s official… 37 year old country singer, Sundance Head was announced the winner of The Voice (season 11), in the season finale on Tuesday, December 13th.

The Team Blake member won his way to the final four on December 5th with a performance covering of “Love Can Build a Bridge” by The Judds. Billy Gilman, We Mcdonald, and Josh Gallagher followed Head to the final four.

Between the four singers that made it to the season finale, Sundance Head was crowned the winner, with his performance of Etta James’ classic love song, “At Last.”

It was predictable that Head would be the winner of season 11 when three of his songs made it to iTunes Top 10, with two of them being the first two on the chart.

According to a poll on tvline.com, viewers’ predictions were accurate. Of the final four contestants, 59.59 percent of voters predicted that Sundance Head would be the final winner.

There were differing opinions on the outcome of the finale, according to viewers’ reactions on social media.

@hannahptx_ tweeted, “SUNDANCE JUST WON THE VOICE. I’M SO SHOOK AND HAPPY.”

It is clear that this viewer was supporting Sundance, and was satisfied with the results. Gilman fans on the other hand, were not impressed.

@philly1gleek tweeted, “I’m shocked that @SundanceHead won instead of @BillyGilman. I mean, Sundance is good, but Billy does these epic high notes. #TheVoice”

Regardless of the comments made by viewers, Sundance is grateful for all of the support his fans gave him.

“Thank all of you who have supported me throughout this amazing experience. It is you who truly is the champion of the voice. Thank you,” Head tweeted the day after he was announced the winner.

Overall, it was a great season and viewers will look forward to next season.
