Princess Mononoke is set in the time period of the late Muromachi period (approximately 1336 to 1573). It is an animated Japanese movie that delves into adventure, fantasy, and history. The movie was made in 1997, but released on October 29, 1999, in the U.S. This classic is one of the top-rated movies from Studio Ghibli.
The movie focuses on young warrior, Ashitaka, who caught a dealdy disease while fighting a boar demon. Along the way, he finds a waging war between humans and the forest gods and tries to put an end to it.
Princess Mononoke is one of the top rated movies from Studio Ghibli because of the amazing graphics and strong character roles. The animation is breathtaking, every scene reminiscent of a painting.
