Looking for a fun alternative to just purchasing your special someone a gift? Cupcakes are a great option! Here’s a step-by-step of making your very own Valentines day cupcakes! They are a wonderful gift option to show that you care and delicious too!

Everything you need:

• 1 box of any flavor cake mix (3 eggs, 1 cup of water, 1/3 cup of oil)
• mixing bowl (whisk or spoon)
• pink or red icing
• cupcake pan and holders
• decorations: large conversation hearts, sprinkles, decorating icing

1. To begin, preheat your oven at set time on box. Then pour your cake mix, eggs, water, and oil in a large mixing bowl.

2. Then mix/beat the mix until you get a smooth consistency. (make sure there are no chunks!)

3. After you are done mixing your batter, get your cupcake holders and place them in your cupcake pan.

4. Then pour even amounts of batter into each cup. making sure not to fill to the top of each. You want to leave room for rising.

6. Put in oven and set timer for specific time found on back of box. My mix was for 20 minutes or until golden.

7. Once they are done poke through the center with a toothpick, and if you pull it out with nothing on it, that means they are done! Leave them on a cooling rack for about an hour before icing.

8. Once they are cool you can grab your decorating supplies and begin decorating!! If you don’t have an icing bag, another option is getting a plastic baggy and cutting a tiny hole in the corner.

9. Then your final step is to make your cupcakes your own! Have fun decorating and enjoy your delicious creation!
