It’s that time of year– Valentine’s Day or should I say Galentine’s Day? Whether you’re single or not, you can always spend this special day with your friends! Contrary to popular belief, this holiday is not exclusive to couples only. This is a holiday where you can express your affection with simple greetings and gifts to your friends as well. 

You can spend time with your friends just to show how much you love and appreciate them. Many of us females, often neglect each other whenever a guy comes into the picture. We often do not realize that our girlfriends are always there when things do not work out with love. Instead of thinking about how bad things have been in past relationships and how you feel lonely, make the most of this romantic holiday by spending Valentine’s Day with your friends!

For the men reading this, you are not alone either. You should celebrate this day as well, even if you are single. Whether you take your girl best friend out, or your squad, make the most out of your time because you get this day once a year! Go paint-balling, eat, or just talk and have fun. Top Golf and Main Event are also great places to hang out. 

So, here’s the thing, like any other special night, there are several things to do to celebrate Valentine’s Day to the fullest with your friends. You can make a dinner reservation, watch a movie, trade gifts, or just spend hours talking. Spending time with friends is one of the few pleasures we take for granted, so please enjoy these special moments with your friends and have a happy Valentine’s Day. Have a night out in Tampa and dress up, take pictures, and just enjoy time with each other. 

Disney Plus and Netflix offer a wide variety of movies and tv shows to watch with your besties. With the movie theaters back open, there are also many new movies to enjoy. This weekend, “Uncharted”, starring Tom Holland and Mark Whalberg as well as “Dog” starring Channing Tatum are both hitting the box office, which is the perfect time to grab your bestie and some popcorn and enjoy. 

Have a night out or enjoy a spa day in the comfort of your own home. Make some room on the couch and binge-watch your favorite Rom-Com movies for hours. You do not have to be in a relationship in order to celebrate this special day.

Valentines Day is the perfect day to show your significant other how much you care. Whether you decide on a traditional Valentines out or a relaxed night in, make the most of your Valentines day with your love.

A true classic, a romantic dinner out on Valentine’s Day, can never go wrong. Especially, a place where you both love to eat.  Having a conversation over a nice meal is always the safest way to make your loved one happy. Restaurants in Tampa like Oxford Exchange, Kona Grill, or Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse, would all be great places to consider.

A great addition to a night out on the town would be a trip to the movies. Find a movie that you both will enjoy. There are many love stories in the theatres now including, “Dog” starring Channing Tatum, “and “Redeeming Love” based on a bestselling novel. If you aren’t in the mood for a love story, you can also watch “Scream” if scary movies are more your style or “Sing 2” if you want a cute kids movie.

If you want something outside the box, you could always take advantage of our Florida beaches and enjoy a picnic on the beach while watching the sunset. A walk on the pier or along the sand hand-in-hand would be a perfect end to Valentines day. Beaches in the area include: Clearwater Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, Honeymoon Island State Park, and Treasure Island.

The city of Tampa offers many fun and exciting ways to spend time with the one you love. Armature Works and the River Walk can be romantic under the city lights, and offer access to many nice restaurants. Hyde Park is another area that offers much for those in search of some romantic scenery. Whatever you decide on for your special day, enjoy the time with your loved one.
